Campus/Satellite Housing
Campus housing lottery entries are now closed, and lottery winners have been notified.
For those who indicated an interest in on-campus housing but did not receive beds, an email was sent in mid-February offering alternative housing options. (The class is investigating housing at Rider College for these classmates and their guests.) For more information, please see the Housing section of our FAQ.
Hotels
We have assembled a list of area hotels and estimated price ranges for those wishing to stay at local hotels. We have set up room blocks where available.
Linens
Linen Rentals for On-Campus Housing are now closed.
For your convenience, and as part of our broader sustainability event planning efforts, we offered classmates who are staying in campus housing the opportunity to rent linens for beds as an alternative to purchasing these items from the U-Store. Bedding is often thrown away after the weekend, adding to textile waste and landfill usage, as many organizations do not accept donated bed linens.
Costs
The cost of each linen set (e.g. bed pack) was $30 and includes two sheets, two bath towels, a washcloth, a pillow case, a pillow, and a cotton blanket.
For any bed packs that are not returned at the conclusion of the event, there will be a replacement cost of $50 per set charged to us by the vendor.
Deadline
To provide our local partners at Laundry Solutions with final numbers, all orders had to be placed by midnight on Wednesday, May 1.
Pick-Up/Drop Off Logistics
If you pre-ordered linens and are staying on-campus, they will be placed in your dorm room in advance of your arrival. When you depart, you will return your linen rentals to the registration table at Whitman College. Please confirm that a crew member marks your items as returned.
As a reminder, there will be a $50 charge per set of bed linens that are not properly returned at the conclusion of the event.
Princeton is not providing linens for 25th campus beds, and the linen rental deadline has already passed. So please note that if you did not opt for linen rentals, linens will not be provided for you, and you will have to pack and bring linens from home for everyone in your registration group.
