Class Notes – Volume 109, Number 11

Ah, Reunions: so many people, so many names, so many opportunities to mistakenly call people by the wrong names. So if you’re feeling wary about the mingling awaiting you in May, allow me to help. The following is a collection of classmates who will be at Reunions, along with sure-fire conversation openers for breaking the ice.

Ask BRONWEN HOUCK for tales from her eight months traveling through Latin America with her husband. They began in Chile, ventured through Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Central America, and ended in Mexico.

Talk to DAN GRECH about his appointment as a Ferris Professor of Journalism for the fall 2009 semester at Princeton. He will live on campus and teach the course, “The New Audio Age of Journalism.”

Chat with DARIA and Robert PAHLAVAN about the African safari honeymoon they took following their May 2008 wedding, or ask LUCIA MARIN, ELIZABETH VLCEK, MARY KAY DUNNING, or Sarina Sassoon Sanandaji ’00 for stories from the wedding itself.

Look for CHI SOO KIM, husband Eugene, and their two kids, Lena (born Aug. 12, 2006) and Leo (born May 6, 2008). Ask JOHANNA DEANS and EDWARD MARTELL about their August 2008 wedding in Jackson Hole, Wyo. Talk to PABLO JENKINS about life in Rio de Janeiro, where he is busy organizing events for fellow alumni through the Princeton Club of Brazil.

Raiden Holt, B is for Barack

And congratulate AYYANA CHAKRAVARTULA and WILL HOLT on son Raiden (pictured), born Jan. 2, 2009, and ask them about their upcoming move from Oahu to the Bay Area.

These are only a few of the great conversations to have in May. Register for Reunions today at
